ISO 2015 transitions - partner with DNV GL on the transition

Both ISO 14001 Environmental Management and ISO 9001 Quality Management, two of ISO’s flagship standards, will be significantly revamped next yearin 2015. In addition, ISO will launch the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management standard, set to replace OHSAS 18001.

All of these standards are currently released as a Draft International Standard, meaning that there will still be adjustments in the final versions. However, the big picture can be clearly seen today due to the fact that all the standards follow a so-called High Level Structure, which is already published.

This means that all the new ISO Management System standards will be aligned on common requirements and follow a mutual structure, terms and text. This will make it much easier for organizations to implement them going forward. Current users of the standards will clearly recognize the benefits of this aligned approach.

Our own audit methodology Next Generation Risk Based Certification has already been updated to encompass the new approach from ISO. In addition to cover the standard requirements in an audit, it takes a broader view on the risks most critical to your business. Enabling you to improve on the areas that matter the most for your long term success.
